Training Cases

Programmable logic controllers (PLC’s) are industrialised computers designed to control industrial and critical infrastructure utility processes. The ENTC Training Cases use common industrial control equipment with realistic Pedestrian Crossing and Traffic Intersection scenarios to enable the introductory learning of PLC, HMI and SCADA programming as well as industrial controls cyber security. They can be used either in self directed or class based learning or in EducateNow instructor lead training.

These cases currently come in both physical and virtual versions. At present, the physical training cases have been manufactured with Allen Bradley PLCs which is one of the most common brand of PLCs used in Australia but they have been designed to also accommodate other common brands of PLCs such as Mitsubishi, Omron, Schneider and Siemens to enable learning with a number of different PLC platforms and programming languages.

Each training case comes with all cables & connectors and software required for students to connect to and program the integrated equipment as well as;

  • Associated self guided ENTM-01 Basics Course modules
  • Software Installation Manual
  • Basic Startup checks, Troubleshooting & Maintenance Manual
  • Standard 12mth Return to Base Warranty
  • Standard 6mth Maintenance & Teaching Email Support
  • Online FAQ Support

Although the training cases are flexible in their programming capabilities, control code has already been developed and installed into the associated equipment so that by the end of the various Basics Course modules, students will have had experience with a number of programming techniques including;

  • Basics of getting online and using the relevant programming software, monitoring IO signals and downloading programs to the associated equipment.
  • Programming of various outputs and sequences triggered by push button or sensor inputs.

The training cases are also designed with storage, portability and transportation in mind and are housed contact us for pricing and availability.
