Training Modules

As the training branch of IndustrialNow, EducateNow offers a range of specialised Industrial Control system training solutions based around the EducateNow training cases and tables which feature real life scenarios and uses commercially available control equipment.

EducateNow’s training course packages, at various levels and complexity, are available in the areas of PLC, HMI and SCADA programming across a number of platforms as well as Industrial Cyber Security.

These packages can include the purchase or rental of training cases, all student software, documentation and resources for self directed, class based and in person or online EducateNow instructor led training. The instructor led training can also be tailored to clients’ specific interests and needs.

Current ongoing clients of EducateNow training include universities in Adelaide and Canberra.

  • Switching Digital Outputs ON and OFF
  • Programming Tasks: 
  • Switch Street Lights ON & OFF based on detected Light Levels
  • Traffic Light Sequencing with Vehicle Sensor Triggering
  • Pedestrian Light Sequencing with Push Button Triggering
  • Integration of all sequences to resemble a real life Pedestrian Crossing

ENTM PLC INTERMEDIATE

Prerequisites: ENTM PLC BASICS

Content includes; 

  • Review of a fully programmed Traffic Intersection Scenario inclusive of Fault Handling and Debugging Techniques
  • Programming Tasks and Techniques:
  • Modifying the sequence to add a Real Time Clock Function to switch Street Lamps ON & OFF
  • Scaling and using Analog Inputs
  • Using Counters and timers for sequence counting and delays 
  • Set up of PLC LCD HMI
  • Introduction to HMIs and programming 
  • Introduction SCADA Systems and programming

ENTM PLC ADVANCED

Prerequisites:  ENTM PLC INTERMEDIATE

  • Programming Tasks and Techniques:
  • Adding Interrupts to the Pedestrian Crossing Sequence
  • Using Pulse Width Modulation to Dim Street Lamps
  • Set up of Web Interface
  • Fundamentals of HMI Programming (5 day course only)
  • Fundamentals of SCADA Programming (5 day course only)
